The vast majority of headaches that plague people fall into the category of muscle tension headaches. These headaches can be eliminated or significantly reduced with a comprehensive physical therapy approach. Muscle tension headaches often begin from forward shoulder and head posture, tight upper trapezius and other muscles that lead to tension going up from your shoulders into your neck into the base of your skull. Sitting at a desk, and or working on the computer all day can be huge contributing factors to this but they are certainly not the only causes. Working to improve one's posture, getting stronger through postural stabilization muscles and working through all of the soft tissue restrictions with physical therapy and massage therapy, in many cases we can make you headache free.
