Erin initially found herself in the massage therapy world after her first pregnancy and birth. She became aware of the importance of taking charge of your own health and worked in a holistic medicine center working with lymphedema and detoxification. After losing her mother to complications from back surgery, Erin became impassioned to help others find relief from their myofascial pain without surgery. She trained in Chicago from some of the most respected Myofascial Trigger Point experts in the field and continues to seek out techniques that are well tested and proven to be effective.

Being a Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist means knowing what muscle to release for specific areas of pain. Erin approaches her treatments by releasing the trigger point with compression and then taking the muscle into its fullest range of motion. By working within the client’s comfort levels she is able to eliminate trouble spots and regain function. Sometimes this can be done in one short session, sometimes it takes longer.

Erin’s varied background enables her to work with people on many different levels. For Erin, she has found that performing at a high physical level requires a very holistic approach. The top five aspects being: biochemistry , full range of motion, form, mental aptitude and sleep habits. No matter what a person’s physical goals, these five things make the biggest difference in achieving them.

Erin works with her clients to empower them with skills so that they can continue to target areas of pain outside of their sessions by using specific self-compression exercises and stretching. She also looks at perpetuating factors such as diet, posture and sleep to correct those things that undermine our ability to be pain and inflammation free.
