An irritated digestive system can lead to more systemic inflammatory process throughout our bodies, a weakened immune system, a decrease in energy and a host of other problems.
The next step, after the 24 day challenge, involves more permanent dietary changes and high quality supplementation. We reduce grains, sugar, dairy products, and processed foods. What do we we eat instead? Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, organic meats and a large variety of other foods.
And yes, some desserts are recommended for our sanity.
